          • Users of third-party tools linked from my site (such as Stripe payment pages, Stan store pages, or Flodesk forms), to the extent I receive information from those tools

          • Third-party websites and platforms have their own privacy policies. When you leave stacyjoyce.com to complete a purchase or form on Stripe, Stan, Flodesk, or another service, that provider’s policy also applies.

        2. Information I collect

        A. Information you provide

        • Identity and contact details — name, email address, phone number
          • Messages and inquiry content — information you include in the Squarespace contact form, emails, texts, or other messages
            • Booking and scheduling details — preferred times, session type (in-person or Zoom), package selections, and related logistics
              • Payment-related details billing name and contact information associated with a purchase; payment card numbers are handled by payment processors (see below), not stored by me as full card data on the website
                • Mailing-list preferences — email signup, free-guide requests, and similar opt-ins (including checkbox opt-in on the contact form where offered)

                  • Health and movement-related information you choose to share — for example, history of scoliosis or spinal fusion, pain or mobility concerns, injuries, surgeries, pregnancy, contraindications, goals, or other intake notes that help me teach safely

                  • I ask only for what is reasonably needed to respond, schedule, teach, and run the practice. You decide how much health detail to share; sharing accurate information that affects how we work helps keep sessions safer.

                • B. Information collected automatically

  • Squarespace — website hosting, contact form submissions, and site-related logs

    • Stripe — confirmation of purchases made through Stripe Payment Links on the Purchase Sessions page (for example, private session and package purchases)

      • Stan — information related to consults, courses, or other products sold through my Stan store (for example, Discover consult and Fusion Method Fundamentals)

        • Group reformer classes held at Pilates Physique in Cornelius may use their systems. This Privacy Policy does not speak for Pilates Physique.

      3. Sensitive health and intake information

Because this practice focuses on scoliosis, spinal fusion, and related back-care movement education, clients often share health-related details.

I treat that information as sensitive and confidential for the purposes of this practice:

      • I use it to understand your goals, adapt teaching, communicate with you about sessions, and keep basic client records.
        • I do not sell it.

          • I do not share it for unrelated marketing.
            • Access is limited to me and to service providers who process data on my behalf (for example, email or form platforms), as needed to operate the practice.

              • I am careful with notes, emails, and recordings that may contain health details.

              • Important: Treating information carefully is not the same as claiming HIPAA compliance or covered-entity status. Stacy Joyce LLC provides movement education and is not your medical provider. This Policy is not a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

            • If you prefer not to put certain details in a web form, you may share them by phone, secure message, or during a consultation instead.

                        • Maintain records needed for the business (scheduling history, purchases, basic notes)
                          • Protect the practice, enforce site terms, prevent fraud or misuse, and comply with law

                          • I do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

                        5. How I share information

                        | Professional advisors | Accountants, attorneys, or insurers, when reasonably necessary | | Authorities | When required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or property |

If the practice is transferred as part of a business sale or reorganization, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or equivalent protections.

Service providers are expected to use information only to provide their services to me, under their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Cookies and analytics

stacyjoyce.com is built on Squarespace. Squarespace and certain embedded or linked tools (for example Flodesk embeds, Stan links, Stripe checkout) may use cookies, local storage, pixels, or similar technologies to:

  • Keep the site secure and functioning

This Privacy Policy is the place I disclose cookies and analytics. There is no separate cookie-only policy page. The site’s cookie banner is not enabled.

On the live pages checked, traffic measurement comes from Squarespace as the website host. I did not find a separate Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager install. Social icons link to Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube; those platforms have their own policies when you leave the site. If additional analytics tools are added later, this Policy will be updated to name them.

8. Email and marketing choices

  • You can unsubscribe from marketing or newsletter emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails, or by emailing me.

Email stacy@stacyjoyce.com or call/text 704-659-1377. I may need to verify that the request comes from you.

I may retain certain records when needed for scheduling history, purchases, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or legitimate business records—even if you ask to be removed from marketing lists.

10. Retention

  • Marketing and mailing-list data: I keep this for 1 year after last contact, or until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it (whichever comes first for list/marketing use).
  • Purchases and session notes: Records needed for the business or the law (for example, payment history, scheduling, or session notes) may be kept longer than 1 year.

When information is no longer needed, I take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to backups and legal holds.

11. Security

I take reasonable administrative and technical steps appropriate to a small practice to protect personal information (for example, using reputable platforms, limiting access, and being careful with client notes and recordings).

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use discretion when sending sensitive details by email or form.

12. Children’s privacy

I do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through the site, contact me and I will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Teens may use the Site and participate in sessions with a parent or legal guardian’s involvement. Booking paid services for a minor should include guardian consent (email is fine). See also the Website Terms.

13. North Carolina and your rights

Stacy Joyce LLC operates in North Carolina. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, or to appeal a refusal.

North Carolina does not currently impose a comprehensive consumer privacy statute identical to some other states’ laws; however, I still honor reasonable requests to update or remove your information as described above.

California and other state residents may have additional rights under their local laws. If those laws apply to you and to this practice, contact me to make a request. I do not sell personal information.

14. Third-party links and embeds

The site may link to or embed third-party content (Stan, Stripe checkout, Flodesk forms, social media, blog embeds, and similar). Those third parties may collect information under their own policies. I am not responsible for their practices.

15. Changes to this Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the site or services after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
